Pipefish look like a straight-bodied seahorse with a tiny mouth. The name is derived from the peculiar form of the snout, which is like a long tube, ending in a narrow and small mouth which opens upwards and is toothless. A slim model as opposed to the bigger fish swimming below them in this britght coloured motif from Journal des Museum. Godeffrey. Heft. XV.
