subjects from beneath the sea using rudimentary
equipments like diving bells and basic
underwater cameras. 

Expeditions focused on marine biology, geology,
and oceanology, yielding foundational insights into
underwater ecosystems, species diversity, and
geological formations, laying the groundwork for
modern marine science.
